Websites for home services and contractors

Home service websites that make the phone ring.

A contractor's website should get a homeowner to call you or ask for a quote, fast. We design and build custom websites for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pool, landscaping and pest control companies with tap-to-call on every phone screen, a short quote form, your license and insurance up front, and a page for each service you want more of. Builds cost $2,500 to $4,500, plus $150/month for hosting and care.

01 / Calls and quotes

Make calling you the easiest thing on the page.

When the AC quits in July or a pipe bursts under the sink, nobody reads your About page. They grab their phone, search, and call the first company that looks trustworthy and easy to reach. Everything on the site is built around that moment:

  • A tap-to-call button that stays at the bottom of the screen on phones, on every page.
  • A short quote request form: name, phone, address or ZIP, and what's going on. Nothing that takes more than a minute to fill in.
  • An emergency or after-hours callout, if you offer that service, with the number to call and plain wording about when it applies.
  • Your hours and service area near the top, so people outside your area don't waste a call.

Pages load quickly on any device, even on a slow mobile connection, which matters when someone is standing in a hot garage with one bar of signal.

02 / License, insurance and real photos

Show homeowners you're the real deal before they let you in.

Homeowners are letting a stranger into their house or onto their roof. Before they call, they want to know you're licensed, insured and actually local. Every site we build for a trade puts these where people look:

  • Your ROC license number, shown where customers look for it: the header or footer, and your contact page
  • Whether you're bonded and insured, stated plainly
  • Photos of real jobs you've done, not stock images of someone else's kitchen
  • Your real team and trucks, so the person at the door looks familiar
  • The areas you serve, listed by city so nobody has to guess
  • Your Google reviews, linked from your Google Business Profile
  • A financing link, if you offer financing through a lender

We don't write reviews or testimonials for you, and we don't use stock photos of other people's work. Phone photos of real jobs are usually more convincing than polished ones, and we can suggest which shots to take.

03 / Services and service areas

A page for each service, and for each area you serve.

People don't search for "home services." They search for "AC repair near me," "pool cleaning service" or "emergency roof leak repair." A single page that lists everything you do rarely shows up for any of those.

So we give each service you want more of its own page: what it covers, the signs a homeowner needs it, and a way to call or request a quote. On the Signature package we add service-area pages for the cities you cover, written with real details about the work you do there, not the same paragraph with the city name swapped. Every build also includes your business name, address and phone number matched to your Google Business Profile, structured data that tells search engines what trade you're in and where, and Google Search Console setup at launch.

One honest note: rankings take time, and Google decides them. Your competition, your Google Business Profile, your reviews and how long you've been in business all play a part, so we won't promise you page one. Be wary of anyone who does. Google's own advice is that no one can guarantee a #1 ranking. What we can promise is that your website won't be what's holding you back.

04 / Seasons and ownership

Built for your busy seasons, and yours to keep.

Most trades are seasonal. AC and pool calls spike in summer, heating in winter, and roofing and landscaping follow the weather. Our sites have no editor to log in to, so swapping a seasonal banner or promotion is a content change that we quote before doing it. It's usually small, and planning your seasons up front keeps it simple.

Many contractors rent their website from a marketing agency on a contract, and find out when they leave that the site stays behind. Others rely only on lead marketplaces like Angi or Thumbtack, where leads are often shared with other companies. Those can still be useful. But with us, you own your domain and your site files, and if you ever leave, we hand over a complete copy.

05 / Pricing

What a home service website costs.

Three fixed prices, with no hourly billing during the build:

  • Essential, $2,500: up to 5 pages. Good for an owner-operator with one or two core services.
  • Studio, $3,500: up to 10 pages, with a keyword plan, copy editing and a visual refresh. Room for a page per service for most small crews.
  • Signature, $4,500: up to 15 pages, with service-area pages, a logo and starter brand kit, and integrations like online booking, reviews or payments. For companies that cover several cities or want a new logo too.

Every site runs on the $150/month Hosting & Care plan: hosting, SSL, security updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring and a monthly report. Content changes aren't included and are quoted separately. You pay 50% to start and the balance at launch, and you own your domain and site files. Compare the packages in detail.

Home service website FAQ

How much does a website for a contractor or home service company cost?

Our custom builds are $2,500, $3,500 or $4,500 depending on how many pages and features you need, plus $150/month for hosting and care. An owner-operator with one or two services often fits Essential. A company that wants a page for each service and each city it covers usually needs Signature. You pay 50% to start and the balance at launch.

Why have my own site if I already get leads from Angi or Thumbtack?

Lead marketplaces can be a fine source of work, but the leads are usually shared, so you're often one of several companies calling the same homeowner. Your own site brings in people who searched for you or found you on Google, and those calls come only to you. Plenty of companies use both. Your site is the one you own and keep, no matter what a marketplace charges next year.

Where should my ROC license number go?

Where customers look for it. We put it in the footer of every page and on your contact page, and anywhere else your trade usually shows it, such as the quote form. You supply the number exactly as it appears on your license, along with your insurance and bonding details.

Can I change the banner for summer AC season or storm season?

Yes. Our sites have no editor to log in to, so a seasonal change like "summer AC tune-ups" or "storm-season roof inspections" is a small content change, quoted before we do it. Many companies plan their seasonal banners at the start so each one is ready when the season turns. The $150/month plan keeps the site online, fast, secure and backed up; content changes are separate, and nothing is billed without your approval.

Do I need a separate page for every city I serve?

If you want to show up in those cities, it helps. Someone searching for a plumber in their town wants to know you work there. A page for each area you serve, with real details about the work you do there, gives Google a clear reason to show you. Service-area pages are part of the Signature package.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I replace my current site?

Not if the move is done carefully. Before launch we map every old page address to its new one with permanent (301) redirects, so Google and anyone with an old link lands on the right page. See how a project works.
