Privacy policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
This policy explains what information Slightly Artistic LLC (“Slightly Artistic”, “we”, “us”), a web design studio based in Phoenix, Arizona, collects through slightlyartistic.com and while working with clients, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to talk with you and build your site, and we never sell it.
1. What we collect
- Project inquiry and contact forms. When you fill out the form at /start/ or our contact page, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), business name or current website, and your answers about the project, such as goals, timeline, and budget.
- Website health check. When you use our free website health check, we collect the website address you enter, your name, your email address, your phone number (if you give it), and your IP address, which we use only to prevent abuse. We save the report so your private report link keeps working.
- Consult booking. If you book a consult, we receive your name, email address, the time you picked, and anything you add to the booking notes.
- Payments. When you pay a deposit, you give your name, email address, phone number, business name, billing address, and card details. The card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Onboarding questionnaire. After you pay, we collect what you give us to build your site: business details, page content, brand preferences, logos, photos and other files, and domain or registrar information.
- Emails and messages. Anything you send us directly.
- Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our servers and our security provider record standard technical information: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time. We keep these for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, schedule and hold your consult, and send you a proposal.
- To send you your website health check report and, at most, one follow-up email about it. If you add your phone number, we may call once to offer a walkthrough of your results. We don't add you to a mailing list.
- To take payments, including charging the card saved at checkout for your launch balance and your Hosting & Care plan, as described in our Website Services Agreement.
- To build, launch, host, and maintain your website.
- To send project emails, such as receipts, invoices, and reminders if your onboarding questionnaire is still unfinished. These are service messages about your project, not marketing.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam and abuse.
- To keep business, tax, and accounting records the law requires.
3. Service providers we use
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business. Each gets only the information it needs to do its job, and each handles that information under its own privacy policy:
- Stripe: payment processing, saved payment methods, receipts, and invoices. stripe.com/privacy
- Cal.com: consult scheduling. cal.com/privacy
- Tally: the onboarding questionnaire and file uploads. tally.so/help/privacy-policy
- Google PageSpeed Insights: when you run a website health check, the website address you entered (not your name or contact details) is sent to Google so it can test the page's speed. policies.google.com/privacy
- Cloudflare: website security (including the bot check on our health check), performance, DNS, and email forwarding. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Our web hosting provider: stores the website, form submissions, and our project records.
- Our email provider: sends and receives our email.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer or successor if the business is ever sold.
4. Cookies and tracking
This website does not set tracking cookies, run advertising scripts, or use third-party analytics that follow you across the web. Our security provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to tell real visitors from bots. When you use our checkout, scheduling, or questionnaire pages, those pages are run by Stripe, Cal.com, or Tally. They may set their own cookies, which they need for the page to work and to prevent fraud.
5. Client websites
When we build or host a website for a client, the client decides what information that site collects from its own visitors. We handle that information on the client's behalf, only to provide our services. Questions about a client's website should go to that business first.
6. How long we keep it
- Inquiries and health check requests that don't become projects: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Client project files and content: for as long as we're working together or hosting your site, then up to 1 year afterward so we can help with a handover or restore. Backups rotate out after 30 days.
- Payment, invoice, and tax records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 7 years.
- Server and security logs: a limited period, usually 90 days or less.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See section 8.
7. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site. Form submissions and project records are stored outside the public website folder. We limit access to the people doing your project, and we rely on providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've sent us at any time. Email hello@slightlyartistic.com. We'll reply within 30 days. Some records we have to keep, such as payment and tax records. If so, we'll tell you what we're keeping and why. To stop onboarding reminders or health check follow-ups, just reply to any of those emails and ask.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses. This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll let active clients know by email.
