Websites for veterinary clinics

Veterinary clinic websites pet owners can trust at a glance.

A vet clinic's website should tell a worried pet owner, in seconds, whether you can help and how to reach you. We design and build fast, custom websites for veterinary clinics and animal hospitals that show new-patient status, the species you treat, your services and hours, and what to do after hours, then connect to the booking tool and client portal you already use. Builds cost $2,500 to $4,500, plus $150/month for hosting and care.

01 / What pet owners look for

Answer the first questions before the phone rings.

Someone looking for a new vet has usually just moved, just adopted, or has a pet that isn't acting right. They're on a phone, and they want to know quickly if you're a fit. The clinic that answers clearly gets the call. Every vet site we build makes these easy to find:

  • Whether you're accepting new patients right now
  • Which animals you see: dogs and cats only, or exotics, birds and reptiles too
  • Your services, from wellness visits and vaccines to dental care, surgery and urgent care
  • Your hours, and exactly what to do when you're closed
  • Where you are, where to park, and whether there's a separate entrance or drop-off
  • Who the vets and techs are, with real photos of the team and the clinic
  • A fast way to call or request an appointment, reachable with one thumb

Real photos matter more here than almost anywhere. Owners want to see the people who'll handle their pet and the rooms they'll wait in, so we plan the photo list with you during onboarding.

02 / Hours and after hours

Make "what do I do right now?" impossible to miss.

The most stressful visit to a vet's website happens at 10 p.m. The owner needs to know, fast, whether you're open and where to go if you're not.

So your hours sit near the top of every page, next to a short after-hours note: the emergency hospital your clinic refers to, its address and a tap-to-call number. You give us the referral details, and we make sure they're on every page and in your Google Business Profile hours.

If you see urgent cases during the day, we say so plainly, along with whether owners should call ahead.

03 / Booking, forms and records

Send each task to the tool built for it.

A clinic website works best as a front door, not a filing cabinet. We connect it to the tools your practice already runs on:

  • Appointments: the online booking or request tool you already use, with a button in the header and on every service page. No tool yet? A short request form asks for contact details, the pet's name and species, and a preferred time.
  • Records and reminders: a clear "Client portal" link to the portal or app that comes with your practice software, where owners see vaccine history and upcoming visits.
  • New-client forms: a new-client page that explains what to bring to the first visit (previous records, current medications) and links to your intake form, whether that's a printable PDF or the online form in your practice software.

The website's own forms collect only what's needed to get back to someone. The site itself has no database, client accounts or admin login, which keeps it simple to secure.

04 / Local search

Built to be found by pet owners nearby.

Pet owners rarely drive far for routine care, so being easy to find nearby matters. Every build includes the basics that help Google and AI search tools understand and recommend you:

  • A fast site. Ours are custom-built with no page builder, so pages load quickly on any device, even on a slow mobile connection.
  • A page for each service you want to grow, like dental cleanings, surgery or exotic pet care, written in the words owners search for.
  • Your clinic name, address and phone number, matched exactly to your Google Business Profile.
  • Structured data that tells search engines you're a veterinary clinic, where you are and when you're open.
  • Google Search Console setup and a sitemap at launch, plus permanent redirects from your old site.

One honest note: rankings take time, and Google decides them. Your competition, your Google Business Profile, your reviews and how long you've been in business all play a part, so we won't promise you page one. Be wary of anyone who does. Google's own advice is that no one can guarantee a #1 ranking. What we can promise is that your website won't be what's holding you back.

05 / Pricing

What a veterinary clinic website costs.

Three fixed prices, with no hourly billing during the build:

  • Essential, $2,500: up to 5 pages. Good for a single-vet clinic, a mobile vet, or a groomer.
  • Studio, $3,500: up to 10 pages, with a keyword plan, copy editing and a visual refresh. Room for a page per service, a new-client page and team bios.
  • Signature, $4,500: up to 15 pages, with location pages and booking or review integrations. For animal hospitals with several locations, or clinics that also offer grooming and boarding.

Every site runs on the $150/month Hosting & Care plan: hosting, SSL, security updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring and a monthly report. Content changes aren't included and are quoted separately. You pay 50% to start and the balance at launch, and you own your domain and site files. Compare the packages in detail.

Veterinary website FAQ

How much does a veterinary clinic website cost?

Our custom builds are $2,500, $3,500 or $4,500 depending on how many pages and features you need, plus $150/month for hosting and care. A single-vet clinic with a short list of services often fits Essential. A clinic with separate pages for surgery, dental and exotics usually fits Studio. You pay 50% to start and the balance at launch.

Can pet owners see medical records or vaccine history on the website?

Not on the website itself. Records, reminders and vaccine history belong in the client portal or pet owner app that comes with your practice software. We add a clear link to it in the header and on your new-client page, so owners know where to go. The website has no database or client logins of its own.

What should the site say about emergencies and after-hours care?

Whatever your clinic's real plan is. We put a short, easy-to-find after-hours note on every page with the name, address and phone number of the emergency hospital you refer to, which you supply. On phones it's one tap to call. If that referral ever changes, updating it is a small content change we quote first.

Can clients book appointments online?

Yes, if your clinic already uses an online booking or appointment-request tool. We put its button in the header, on each service page and at the bottom of each page. If you don't use one, we add a short request form that asks for the owner's name, contact details, the pet's name and species, and a preferred time. Your front desk confirms by phone.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I replace my current site?

Not if the move is done carefully. Before launch we map every old page address to its new one with permanent (301) redirects, so Google and anyone with an old link lands on the right page. See how a project works.

Do you build sites for groomers and boarding facilities too?

Yes. Grooming and boarding businesses have many of the same needs: clear services and prices if you share them, vaccine requirements, drop-off and pick-up times, real photos of the space and a way to book. If your clinic also offers grooming or boarding, each gets its own page.
